If only that was a picture of Josh Becket… or of Carl Pavano (with any body part listed instead of finger, since I think Pavano’s fingers are the only thing he has not ever hurt).

Great article in Slate today. You hit all the proverbial nails. I’m a long-suffering Cub fan who last night watched every pitch Tim Lincecum (owned at the league minimum in a NL-only auction-draft keeper league) threw rather than suffer through another humiliating defeat.

That’s me, hombre. Gerard is too busy doing actual stuff — that is, maintaining this blog and other stuff — to fixate on three fantasy teams. Although his one in the CSTB league is putting it to mine pretty good. But thanks.

My bad. Anyway, it’s odd for someone with a blog not to toot their own horn by posting a link. I like that about this place. Consider me a reader for eternity.

And please ask John Smoltz to not go down for another start. I need him.
