Tempting though it may be to mock The Symbol Of All That Is Evil for his appearance today throwing out the ceremonial first pitch before the Nationals home opener (thanks to Rog for the link), I will try to focus on the positive :
a) Cheney looks every bit as capable on the mound as Ramon Ortiz.
b) the Nats warmup jacket should come in handy the next time Dick has to attend a world leader’s funeral.
c) we’re in the 7th inning, the Mets are up 5-0, and despite the presence of snipers and the Veep, no one has been shot. I’d like to think neither you or I would confuse Jose Reyes with a duck…but after 8 or 9 cans of Coors Light, who knows?
(quicktime video of the warm greeting the Vice President received earlier today, culled from crooksandliars.com, link courtesy Jay Strell).
I will be most happy when our series with the Mets is history so I can stop my boycott of all things New York. Unfortunately, there is no “Damn Mets” to sing about. No Lola burp-singing about Shea stadium.
Flaming liberal who takes cheap shots. Who woulda guessed.
That’s a terrible way to talk about Don Smith.
The right-wing is in charge of everything…not just in America, I mean you guys are calling the shots all over the globe. Who else is there to criticize when things go horribly wrong? (I mean, besides Bill Clinton.) Cheap shot? Tell that to some civilian Iraqi who got his head blown off for being in the wrong street when Cheney’s troops decided to perform some ‘collateral damage.’
Don,
until this series is over, I am boycotting the following :
1) go-go
2) watching “PTI”
3) watching the smoke rise from the Dischord house
4) signing up Wizznutz for the Urban Verbs fan club
5) doing lines with Ahmed Chalabi off the sleeve to the Slickee Boys ‘Cybernetic Dreams’.
