…because someday, the rehabbing Tigers reliever might turn out to be an aspiring day-trader. For now, however, he’s engaged in a perfectly legal-for-adults pursuit that can’t possibly be as dangerous as Guitar Hero.
Zumaya’s Detroit teammates are hitless in three innings so far today against Chicago’s Gavin Floyd. I wish I could describe the scene for you, but MLB.tv is blacked out on Saturday afternoons and the Fox NYC affiliate is currently showing an infomercial for a faith healer.
mlb.tv is not blacked out today. I’m not sure what’s up. What’s up? Seriously, how are you?
Perhaps mlb.tv will be allowing the early games, but not the 3:55/4:05 games? That seems a lot more reasonable than blacking out everything but the night games as they had been doing. Gabe Kapler! C’mon.
I stand corrected. I was getting one of those “fuck you, you’re blacked out” messages for the Tigers/ChiSox game, but the Brewers/Mets game is coming through just fine.
Did you happen to see the endless commentary between Karros and Kennedy on Fox during the rain delay? I actually shut the tv off and left the house. Didn’t even see the end of the game. Why can’t they just show cartoons instead of having to tolerate Kennedy go on and on about how he handled situations back when he was a manager last century?
i have been shaking my tiny fist for years on this issue (so-called blackouts for out of market fans etc, not Joel Zumaya’s keg stands, though I can’t deny their importance). And my bullshit meter just sits there in my laboratory, broken from overuse.
This is all to say I would like to see the awesome power of CSTB arrayed against the MLB’s bullshit MLBTV and “EXTRAINNINGS” policy of selling the game to us after they already sold the good parts–images, sounds, etc–to the Fux Network.
