You might recall last September Utah Flash owner Brandt Anderson created a bit of a stir with his offer to donate $100K to charity if Michael Jordan agreed to come to Provo to take on former foe / recent Hall Of Fame speech dis target Byron Russell in a game of one-on-one.  On Tuesday, the AP reports Anderson has apologized to fans of his D-League franchise for attempting to promote the Flash’s home opener with an MJ lookalike.

I’m sure it seemed like a funny idea at the time, but in light of the negative public reaction, perhaps Anderson will think twice before scheduling a Greg Ostertag / Kid Rock poetry slam.
