Charles Star suggests that Nick Saban’s parting words to Miami were “Ronnie Brown sucks,”, alterting us to the inevitable announcement of RB Ricky Williams promising his return to the Dolphins in 2007.

“God knows about No. 34, but if he comes back, you win three or four more games if the guy is playing, I’m telling you,” Saban said Thursday. “He’s got a presence.”

“There is  a 3 or 4 game difference with Ricky at RB? Even if Cleo Lemon is the quarterback?” scoffs Charles, but I’m confident that when given the opportunity, young Cleo will more than live up to the Lemon family name.

Pro Football Talk
reports that Saban said his goodbyes to the Dolphins squad via email.

“Thanks for your efforts and support,” Saban wrote.  “I’ll help you in any way I can in the future.  I thought the damage done relative to me talking to the Alabama people made it impossible for me to come back as the Dolphins coach.  I would love to talk to you.  Please feel free to call me.”

The sentiment is sweet, though the second sentence is awfully confusing. But isn’t there some NCAA rule against recruiting players who’ve already left college football and turned professional?
