Seattle 152, Phoenix 149 (double OT)

WIth all due respect to Matt Hasselbeck and Shaun Alexander, Ray Allen was far and away the most fantastic performer in a Seattle uniform yesterday. And for those too worn out praying at the alter of all-things NFL to bother, don’t worry about it. You only misssed one of the most exciting regular season games ever played. The geniuses who regularly opine that the NBA doesn’t meean jack until playoff time forgot to tell Shawn Marion, Steve Nash, Luke Ridenour or Ray Allen, all four of whom went at it like their lives depended on it.

I’d make a crack about how terrific the Suns would be if they managed to contest a shot every now and then, but when Ray Allen launches one from Scottsdale, there’s not much anyone can do.

Apparently, Kobe dropped 81 on the Raptors tonight. Which pretty much kills that paragraph I had ready about how the Lakers should work Chris Mihm into the offense more often.
