Late goals from Arsenal’s Robin Van Persie and Thierry Henry against Manchester United yesterday might’ve given the embattled Jose Mourniho a new lease on life. Were it not for the Gunners’ comeback, United would’ve taken a commanding 9 point lead over Chelsea in the Premiership.
The Milan Baros era in the Midlands is over, for now at least. The Czech international was shipped to Lyon on Monday in exchange for striker John Carew. Carew’s father, Rod, of course, had a terrific career with the Twins and Anels.
