Having turned down an earlier $6 million per year offer from Chicago, Ben Gordon is said to be considering a not-nearly as lucrative pact from CSKA Moscow. On the soccer side of things, CSKA have previously been the beneficiaries of Roman Abramovich’s largesse, so we can probably assume the checks will clear. On the other hand, CSKA’s wildly successful hockey team were essentially considered an active branch of the Soviet military, so perhaps Gordon will have other duties in addition to shooting guard.
