After careful consideration, I decided not to opt for a headline of “Not-So-Small Frye’s Futurama Pyjamas”.  I guess all that Portland Weirdness has really made an impression on former Knicks F Channing Frye (pic link swiped from True Hoop).

The Newark Star-Ledger’s Dave D’Alessandro collected the following quote yesterday from newly introduced Nets rookie Chris Douglas-Roberts :

Douglas-Roberts admits to being very irritated by lasting until the second round, when he was taken 40th. “Extremely,” the Memphis product scowled. “That’s the biggest motivation I have. Getting picked 40, I’m gonna write a book.” He added that he didn’t get much advice from college coach John Calipari about New Jersey. “All Cal wants to talk about when he’s talking about the Nets is how he got fired,” he said.

I can only presume that if Calipari’s Memphis charges want to hear about the time he called one of D’Alessandro’s colleagues “a dumb Mexican”, they’ll be all ears.
