We’ve all read a little too much about Ted Leo’s witty medley of Kelly Clarkson/Max Martin’s “Since U Been Gone” and the Yeah Yeah Yeah’s “Maps”. With all due respect to Mr. Leo, I look forward to much analysis and hopefully intense file trading of Gary Cohen’s abbreviated cover of Avril Lavinge’s “Complicated”, truly the highlight of today’s Mets/Marlins broadcast on WFAN.
(Gary, double checking the lyrics to Mecca Normal’s “I Walk Alone” in advance of Opening Day)
Wish I’d heard this. Nearly as memorable was a televised 2003 game where Ted Robinson extols the virtues of Yo La Tengo to Fran Healy and brags about the sizeable amount of YLT in his iPod. I can’t even begin to make that up. Wish I had it on tape.
