Tampa Bay have traded RF Jose Cruz Jr. and a bag of loot to Arizona in exchange for starter Casey Fossum (above). Said trade occurs just a day before the latter’s arbitration hearing ; Arizona had offered Fossum $800,000, the pitcher asking for $1.35 million.
The Devil Rays are expected to move Aubrey Huff to right field ; they’ve also signed 1B Travis Lee and designated OF Matt Diaz for assignment.
