The Toronto Argonauts added some size to their receiving corps, adding former Pro Bowler and NFL receiving yards leader David Boston.
“We are extremely excited about signing David. We have been looking for a big, physical receiver and he certainly fulfills that role. He has the size and speed to be a dominant player in our league as the wider field should fit well with his natural abilities,” head coach Rich Stubler said in a statement. “Combined with returning receivers Arland Bruce III, Obed Cétoute, Patrick Johnson, Andre Talbot and Chad Rempel, David adds another powerful weapon to our receiving corps.”
Boston, who was named to the Pro Bowl after leading the NFL in receiving in 2001, hasn’t caught a pass in the NFL since 2005.
I can’t for the life of me figure out why Boston would choose to launch his comeback north of the border.
