The 2004 slaying of Pantera/Damage Plan guitarist Dimebag Darrell Abbott has been commemorated in several ways (one of my favorites, here), but I’m not sure even the most cynical of minds would’ve imagined an Indianapolis Metal Fest autograph signing opportunity for the Columbus, OH policeman who gunned down Abbott’s killer.
Nor, for that matter, a television commercial such as this, which if nothing else, brings to mind the glory days of Orange Records.
