Before anyone opines that’s damning J.J. with faint praise, you might want to check out the mp3’s of the above recordings at Something I Learned Today.

Best Flag ever. The radio version of “My War” (not in his post for some reason) is the most ferocious thing they ever committed to tape.
Biscuits’ interview segment on the first Danzig videotape is also worth checking out, but I don’t know whether it supports the comparison. I guess it depends on how many elbows to the head Jackson took during his career.
I saw a Circle Jerks show w/ Biscuits shortly after his dismissal from B.F. and while Morris and Hetson were very much phoning it in, Chuck was totally worth the price of admission.
I only just learned that Chuck did the drum tracks for Run DMC’s ‘Tougher Than Leather’. With all due respect to Hal Blaine and Anton Fier, Biscuits is hooked up with some kind of family tree.
I was fortunate to witness a Black Flag show with Chuck Biscuits drumming, it was tremendous and a bounceback after a somewhat disappointing previous tour when Flag had the lackluster Emil Johnson on drums. Biscuits was the one drummer who was capable of replacing Robo and he brought back the avalanche effect that was live Black Flag.
