MVP of the 1969 World Series, former Mets 1B Donn Clendenon has passed away at the age of 70 following a long bout with leukemia.

Clendenon’s 3 HR’s and 4 RBI’s helped the Mets defeat the heavily favored Orioles in 5 games, the highlight of a big league career that also included stints in St. Louis, Pittsburgh and Montreal.
