Mexico star Blanco has warned Ricardo Lavolpe that the coach’s family could be in danger after the striker was axed for the World Cup.
Blanco, 32, who has 30 goals in 74 appearances for his country, is raging after being left out of Mexico’s preliminary 26-man squad for Germany.
And Blanco, idolised in his homeland, claims his fans might resort to targeting Lavolpe’s family as an act of revenge if Mexico flop this summer.
“The supporters are vindictive and they do not forget anything,” said Blanco, who plays for Club America.
“If Lavolpe does not have a good performance, he will have a lot of problems in this country. The supporters could go to his house to look for his family.”
