Relegating Sega’s 2006 line of sports games to lame duck status, Electronic Arts and ESPN have signed “a 15 year integrated marketing agreement that will alow for all of EA’s sports franchises to have access to the network’s programming and personalities.”
Aside from having provided Phil Mushnick with the bulk of next Friday’s column, today’s vague, intensely weird announcement is wonderful news for those of us who longed for the day we could unlock the hidden Tony Kornheiser character in “NFL Street 2”.
(now with extra boo-ya!)
it’s really sad that one of my 5 favorite days of the year is the day the new madden game is released but there it is. i hope to bloody hell that stewart scott won’t be stuing it up in madden 2006.
Maybe CSTB could sponsor a contest imagining what a Phil Mushnick videogame would consist of.
The winner gets an all-expenses paid trip to the CSTB headquarters and a CSTB satin jacket. (Speaking of which, I saw a guy walking around NYC today with a glorious Tony n Tina’s Wedding jacket – if it was satin I would’ve offered him my life savings for it.)
