Without disputing the import of QPR losing to Hull earlier today, 2-1, a sad milestone in R’s history was marked earlier this week with the loan of striker Kevin Gallen to Plymouth Argyle.
Gallen seems to have fallen out of favor with Stupor Hoops manager John Gregory, and while his reunion with Ian Holloway may or may not prove fruitful, I can’t help but be saddened that Gallen’s 2nd tour of duty with Rangers has ended so uneventfully.
Then again, considering their respective musical interests (ie. Gregory’s Springsteen fixation, Gallen’s close personal friendship with Morrisey) perhaps this move was inevitable.
In more ex-QPR news, I’m 100% certain there is no correlation between Nigel Quashie making his West Ham debut and the Hammers squandering two points to Fulham earlier today, in a 3-3 tie at Upton Park. The hosts are now winless in their last 6 league matches after a stoppage time equalizer by Philippe Christanval — his first goal in a decade — ended a fractious London derby.
