While I’m perfectly satisfied to harp on the mustache of the New York Daily News’ Bob Raissman (above), Charles Star would prefer to judge the columnist on content alone.
As loathe as I am to defend anything Joe Morgan says, when Bob Raismann says somthing about Joe Morgan, well… something’s gotta give.
ERROR, MORGAN: Often it appears ESPN’s Joe Morgan is not following the game of baseball. Like Sunday, on “Baseball Tonight,” when the Hall of Famer said: “They haven’t missed Gary Sheffield in the Bronx.”
Guess Morgan has not been paying attention to that “potent” Yankee offense.
Good use of scare quotes there. Let’s see if it works when we rewrite the sentence. Guess Morgan has not been paying attention to “the highest scoring offense in baseball, according to runs scored per game as of the date of this column.”
