Ending weeks of speculation about when or if the St. John’s reliever would get the call, Boston promoted reliever Craig Hansen earlier today, along with infielder Hanley Ramirez.
Hansen made his big league debut within the hour, pitching a scoreless 5th inning (2K’s) against the Devil Rays in relief of the ineffective Chad Harville and David Wells.
