Unlike the crueler-than-life-itself Ana Marie Cox, I’m all about the constructive criticism for members of the working media. Today’s beneficiary of my generosity is CNN’s Andrea Koppel (above), who today on Wolf Blitzer’s program, raised the question of how Sectretary Of State Colin Powell would deal with the aftermath of today’s terrorist attacks in London.
If Powell were indeed, still Sectretary Of State, that would be an appropriate queary.
Seconds later, Koppel asked if “the British public will continue to support the Iraq war?” To continue supporting the war would require said populace having supported it in the first place.
I think you hit this one out of the park. Good call.
I personally think you hit one out of the park the moment you refused to pretend to be into anal and decided not to represent everything that’s repellent about DC, two choices not made by Mlle. Ana Marie Cox. Every time I see “Wonkette” (not to be confused with Dante Bichette, who contributed quite a bit to our national discourse) on TV — especially representing the “left” side of the blog world — I die a little inside. Luckily, as a Mets fan, I’ve learned to die inside at very, very slight increments.
Anil was a founding member of Royal Trux. I wasn’t into him, personally, but I know someone who was. To each his own. That’s what our country is all about.
