Sadly, it’s the wrong J.D.

I realize the hockey coverage around here has been shameful, if not invisible of late. There was no mention of the NHL Draft (and for the record, I’d like to see how Renaldo Balkman performs in the preseason before declaring a bust), the Todd Bertuzzi/Robert Luongo trade, or the Bruins’ recent coaching change. But the departure of Rangers TV analyst John Davidson (above, left) to become St. Louis’ new team president is nagging at me worst than this morning’s hangover.

Though this hardly compares to Marv Albert’s exile from MSG TV, I doubt there are any Blueshirts fans — or persons with working brains — pleased that James Dolan’s association with the team continues, while Davidson’s has ended, at least for the time being.
