(Aaron Williams, not realizing the best way to defend against Jamal Crawford is to give him an open look at the basket)
After a 3 year span in which the New Jersey Nets marked derbies against the Knicks by gathering more of their own fans at the Continental Airlines Arena than those of the visitors, things seem to be getting back to normal. Or as normal as it gets on a night in which Jamal Crawford and Stephon Marbury continued their NYPD impression (shoot first, ask questions later), and the marksmanship of Jason Collins, Brian Scalabrine and Richard Jefferson proved to be even more inept.
At one point, the Nets went almost 15 minutes without scoring a point, which considering the state of the Knicks’ defense, seems impossible to manage.
Speaking of guys who look for their own shot first, Allan Iverson burned the Nuggets badly on Monday, carrying the Sixers back from an 18 point deficit to their first win of the season over a Western Conference club.
