Presumably, the Mets will soon reveal plans for a video tribute to Boone on the Shea jumbotron, along with a day/night in his honor.
The Pirates have signed SS Jack Wilson to a three year contract extension worth some $20 million, with a club option for 2010. Given that Wilson was already signed through 2007, I’m not sure where the fire was.
OF Randy Winn has signed a 3 year extension with San Francisco worth $23 million plus that should keep him in a Giants uniform until 2009. Except for the days he isn’t playing, during which time he can dress up like Paula Abdul for all anyone cares.
