When the Eastern League’s Bowie Baysox take on the Reading Phillies tonight, it’s “Office Space Night” at Prince George’s Stadium. Link swiped from Dan Steinberg’s DC Sports Bog.
Office Space Night is a tribute based on the 1999 smash hit movie Office Space, starring Jennifer Aniston and Ron Livingston. Office Space Night will feature promotions based on the movie as well as movie clips featured on the video board. There will also be a flair contest for fans, with the winner being picked based on who is wearing the most flair, another popular premise featured in the movie. Prizes for most flair will be awarded.
Mimicking another famous scene in the movie, there will also be a œSmash Technology For Charity event outside the stadium main gates prior to the game. For just $1.00, fans can take a swing, with a baseball bat, and smash up some of the office equipment that frustrates you in cubical land every day – including printers, scanners, and fax machines. Proceeds from the event will go to Families of Virginia Tech victims.
