While these aren’t exactly glory days for the Seattle Sonics, remarkably, there’s a man in Somerville, MA who believed passing himself off as the franchise’s director of player development would….I dunno, get him laid?
The Somerville News’ George Hassett reports Ron Craven (above) tricked local women and his own paper into believing he held a position with the Sonics, though in other instances, he attempted to pass himself off as Jeff Turner or Todd Lichti.
Local police, writes Hassett, contacted Craven “to tell him he was a weirdo”. Never let it be said law enforcement in the Boston area doesn’t know how to handle serious situations. (link courtesy Jon Solomon)
This guy is an asset to the community and a hunk.
Attempting to pass himself off as Jeff Turner where? Is there really someplace where all of us Jeff Turner fans will be around others who know who the hell he is?
What a poser, this guy went around the city talking how great he is and that he was someone important with the Sonics. He went on and on to so many people, including his own family. What a loser, he has a nice wife and 3 lovely young daughters and they don’t deserve this stuff. He still is talking crap that he was just trying to get laid? Are you kidding me, what did he forget that he has a wife and kids and that they have feelings. The wife needs to leave him and get a real man…
