With the possible exception of Bill Simmons, no one could be happier than your editor to learn that a humble part as a doughy doctor on the ill-fated “Love Monkey” did not spell the end of Jason Priestley’s acting career. He’s currently co-hosting a wine show on The Travel Channel, and took the time to submit to The Independent’s “5 Minute Interview” in Tuesday’s edition.

A common misperception of me is …

That all I had in me as an artist was the character of Brandon Walsh. Once you’re in a series for that long, you become that character for people. You have to be diligent and find other projects, to prove to others that you have the chops to keep working.
