On evidence of tonight’s dismissal of Kansas City , I’d like to see a New England/Pittsburgh rematch ASAP. And chances are, I’ll get my wish in January.
Sparing a global TV audience yet another pout & stagger session from Steven Tyler and Joe Perry, CBS announced today that Sir Paul McCartney will provide the halftime entertainment at the next Super Bowl. Whether the Tiffany Network and/or Michael Powell have properly reviewed McCartney’s countercultural past and/or drug offenses, I have no idea, but when and if they figure it out, there might not be enough time left to book the Ray Coniff Singers.
i too would like to see a rematch but, if possible, i’d prefer to wait until the pats can field a defensive backfield that doesn’t contain a wide reciever, backup linebacker, and corner that collapses in shrieking pain whenever he hits the turf (great job by the abc parabolic microphone following assante samuel last night).
