(L-R, Perry Farrel and Dave Navarro)
News that 90s rock icon and ESPN theme song remixer Perry Farrel is back together with Dave Navarro, Eric Avery, and another guy, ie, the original line-up of the band Jane’s Addiction, means Farrel will be leaving the world of sports jingle writing, and only cements the theory of this blogger that “hip” music industry professionals and sports don’t mix. This leaves hopes of the original line-up of Farrel’s ESPN experience “ Farrel, 50 Cent, and Kelly Rowland “ reuniting to write a CSTB theme song a distant hope, to say the least.
sorry Ben, I’m holding out for a collaboration between Perry’s reunited PSI-COM and a reunited Onyx. Kind of like that awesome ‘Judgement Day’ soundtrack that people who actually attended colleges tell me about.
I always just assumes CSTB’s theme song was STP’s “Interstate Love Song.”
whoops, I meant assumed. That was just a typo- trust me, I’m a college graduate, not like some of the pieces of shit that lurk around here. Motherfuckers.
‘Interstate Love Song’? I always read CSTB with a burned-off-Napster (in 1999), pressed to vinyl copy of STP’s MTV Unplugged cranked on my home theater system.
Taking shots at STP and Juana’s Adiccion is really edgy and super indie and hella gnarly and really underground. God, you types are far worse than the mainstream you mercilessly whine about.
