The Post’s Marc Berman reported earlier today the New York Knicks have named former GM / head coach Isiah Thomas (above, right) a part time consultant. Thomas, as you may know, is presently employed by Florida International University, a school whose athletic director and trustees apparently see no conflict of interest in Zeke representing a professional franchise while toiling as a recruiter, coach and educator for their hoops program.

Since no one seems troubled by the possibility, however slim, that one of Thomas’ current players on the Golden Panthers roster might someday be a Knicks draft target, consider this an open challenge to the CSTB readership ; if coaching FIU is so undemanding that Isiah can moonlight for the Knicks, why not add a few more jobs to his weekly schedule? Who else would you like to see Isiah Thomas working for this autumn?
