“Touched : The Jerry Sandusky Story” was published in 2001 and was described by the publisher as, “the story of Sandusy’s life in his own words…this book goes behind the scenes to explore the successes and challenges that Jerry Sandusky has faced in life, both on and off the football field.”   Many Amazon.com customers, however, have a slightly less rosy take on Sandusky’s life story, as evidenced by a bunch of reviews that weirdly hit the e-commerce’s site some 10 years after the book’s publication.

1.0 out of 5 stars Completely misleading title, November 5, 2011

100% false advertising by Mr. Sandusky. Not a single page in this book “touches” on how to appropriately gain the trust of young, at-risk boys, and then use that trust to perpetrate horrifying sexual assaults on the very children who turned to you for guidance and support. Almost as disappointing as the first time I watched “Touched by an Angel.” Don’t even get me started on that bullcrap. I still can’t watch anything with Della Reese in it.

1.0 out of 5 stars WOW, November 10, 2011

How ironic is it, that Sandusky’s autobiography is named “Touched,” what a sick man! Anyone that thinks otherwise, please read the grand jury report. Also, where in the hell was his wife when all of this was happening, I’m pretty sure his wife would have notice that there was something odd about the man. My sympathies go out to all of the victims and their families.

1.0 out of 5 stars Amazon should discontinue selling this book, November 10, 2011

In light of the horrifying accounts of the author’s crimes against children, I can see no reason why Amazon would want to have anything to do with this author. This man used his coaching fame to hurt children the same way he is using his coaching fame to sell books. As a seller of his books, Amazon is — by default — assisting him financially. Please Amazon, show the moral fortitude to discontinue selling his books. You will be a corporate hero in the eyes of the people! -Jennifer Banks, NC
