For nearly 3 decades, Lee “Hacksaw” Hamilton has been a San Diego sports yak constant, but that run might be in jeopardy with this week’s announcement he’s been dumped at The Mighty 1090 in favor of a guy with a rather curious resume. From the San Diego Union-Tribune’s John Maffei :

Hamilton will be replaced in the 6-9 a.m. weekday slot by Dan Sileo (above), starting on Monday.

Representatives from the station say Hacksaw will remain with 1090 in an undetermined capacity.

Sileo was fired by WDAE-620 in Tampa in 2012 for on-air remarks. He was suspended by WQAM-560 in Miami for remarks directed at Fox Sports studio host and sideline reporter Erin Andrews, and was later fired for anti-Semitic remarks.

Sileo was hired by WMEN-640 in Palm Beach in August, but was fired in November after he put out a bounty on a Florida State football player in a tweet.

“We felt Dan was a better fit for us in the morning,” programming and operations manager Mike Shepard said.
