San Antonio’s City Council will vote Thursday on whether or not to expand the city’s existing ordinance to include protection from discrimination based on gender identity or sexual orientation. While there’s no shortage of misinformation / hysteria surrounding the debate, San Antonio Silver Stars F Sophia Young would like 5700 + Twitter followers to know that a) she’s very much against same-sex unions and b) she’s voting no.
There’s just a couple of problems with this (aside from y’know, her actual sentiments). For starters, the ordinance has nothing to do with same sex marriages. There’s also the small matter of Young not having a vote. But hey, thanks for taking an interest in city politics!
