The Arizona Republic’s Paul Coro reports the Suns’ Amar’e Stoudemire — recently fined for Twittering during a Phoenix/Memphis game — is only guilty of hiring hard-working assistants.

Stoudemire did not post the Tweet himself. He uses his phone to Tweet but the one that drew the league’s $7,500 fine came by computer Wednesday during the Suns-Grizzlies game. One of his assistants posted the message on his Twitter account regarding a trivia contest winner. It was later removed with an explanation that Stoudemire is not that skilled to play and Tweet.

“He takes his game preparation seriously,” Stoudemire’s agent, Happy Walters, said. “He’s not a rookie. He knows. He’s not going to do anything like that to mess things up. No way.”

Walters said he will appeal the fine with the NBA.

Indeed, Walters has a quite a c.v. when it comes to conflict resolution.
