A trade weeks in the making was completed late yesterday, Boston sending F Walter McCarty to Phoenix in exchange for a 2005 2nd round draft pick. McCarty, whose minutes have suffered amidst the Celtics’ youth movement, was averaging just shy of 4 points a game in this, his 9th season in the NBA. Conversely, the former Kentucky Wildcat and 19th overall pick in the 1996 Draft, is the third 30-something the Suns have traded for in recent weeks, following the acquisitions of Bo Outlaw and Jim Jackson.
