Under normal circumstances, Minnesota beating the winless Lions, 20-16, wouldn’t be a big enough deal to interrupt preparations (snacks, hair care products, etc.) for the 3rd night of Ground Zero Texas 2.  However, when Vikes owner Zygi Wilf made the controversial decision to award the game ball to the first Minnesota player to whip it out on camera, The Sporting Blog’s Tom Ziller was right on top of the action.

Nice work by the Jets today, throwing New England a lifeline in the AFC East title race with a 24-14 loss at San Francisco.  Laveranues Coles caught exactly one pass, so he can hardly claim he was ignored by Brett Favre all afternoon.
