Brad Buckman’s career high 28 points were almost for nought ; Buckman’s brain-lock in fouling in fouling Terrence Crawford on the game’s final play some, I don’t know, 75 feet from the basket, could’ve cost the Longhorns dearly. Crawford, however, missed the 2nd of the 3 foul shots he needed to hit to force overtime, and Texas held on to end Oklahoma State’s 29 game home winning streak.
20 wins in and of itself might not be enough for Texas to make the NCAA Tournament, but beating the no. 8 team in the country on their home floor..on Senior Night, oughta count for something.
The always calm and collected Dick Vitale says he cannot understand why Eddie Sutton (above, center) isn’t in the Basketball Hall Of Fame. Other than the tiny matter of leaving a tainted Kentucky program in disgrace, I can’t think of a reason, either!
