Many years ago, Vince Coleman suggested Shea Stadium’s grounds crew would be responsible for keeping him out of the Hall Of Fame — though keep in mind, Firecracker Vince was once nearly crippled by an automatic tarp.  So it’s great to see the contemporary Mets aren’t nearly as lawn care phobic, with reliever Scott Schoenewies lending a hand tonight as a thunderstorm closed in on Flushing. Not shown : Billy Wagner holding the other side of the tarp and saying-absolutely-nothing about Carlos Delgado’s lack of rain delay leadership.
