From CKNW Radio :

A letter containing a suspicious white powder triggered a quarantine for several hours at GM Place, the home of the Vancouver Canucks.

Police say contents of the suspicious package, which referred to NHL star Todd Bertuzzi (above, right), leaked onto a desk when it was opened by Orca Bay staff.

But Constable Howard Chow says the hazardous materials team later determined the substance was not harmful.

Harvey Jones, the vice-president and GM of arena operations, says high-profile players get fan mail of all kinds and the letters often reflect people’s emotions about how the team is faring.

Kevin Stevens was just on the phone — he thinks some of his mail is being forwarded to Todd Bertuzzi.
