So we’re a few months removed from Detroit’s Tyvek making the leap from “consistently great” to “makers of 2011’s best album” and while this isn’t a very newsworthy post in the strict sense of the word, our half dozen readers in the United Kingdom should be thrilled to know Tyvek will be playing somewhere near you next month, along with The Pheromoans.
This afternoon on the Encore channels, a Double Rappaport: Beautiful Girls and Kicked in the Head (the latter foreshadowing M.R.’s reunion with Kevin Corrigan in Big Fan). Alas, no Bulls game on, to get Scalabrine involved.
That song is so great (“Say Yeah”). This version’s even better than any of the ones on the tapes.
