While grousing over the travails of the New York Knicks earlier this morning, WFAN’s Boomer Esiason wondered aloud what Spike Lee must be making of all this.
“Who cares?” shot back co-host Craig Carton. “Spike Lee is not the face of this franchise. You don’t even see him games any more. He’s a front-runner.”
“Now Woody Allen,” continued Carton, “he’s a real fan. My man, Woodrow.”
Moments later, Carton scoffed at a caller who reasoned the Knicks might find a taker for Stephon Marbury’s expiring contract next season.
“Nobody’s going to trade for him!” insisted the former Jersey Guy. “I think if you ask around the league, other teams have very little regard for Stephon Marbury.”
Perhaps WFAN might want to hire the fair-weather Spike Lee to explain to their on-air talent how the salary cap works.
Thank god…I found this website while doing a search for “Craig Carton Sucks”….this guy is an idiot…I like Boomer a lot, but Carton knows NOTHING about sports and tries to act like he does….drives me crazy….
Thank God I live in an area of Connecticut where I can get both WFAN & WEEI. When Carton & Boomer started this past September, I almost immediately switched my morning radio allegiance to Dennis & Callahan. Ironically, Boomer does a spot in the afternoon on WEEI where he is much, much better. Carton is an idiot. I have no idea why WFAN decided he’d be a good fit. Carton is just a jerk who thinks he knows everything and believes he’s cool because he wears his hat backwards. Whatever.
Carton is a fool indeed. He really does act like a tool on the air. I hope they fire this guy. I won’t even go on….he is just that bad. I refuse to tune into the fan when the boomer show is on the air because of his stupidity.
This guy carton is terrible.. His jokes are so corny and he swears he’s funny.. You can tell that boomer really doesn’t like him, he ruins the show. He seems like the type of guy who would google himself so if your reading this…YOUR CORNY!
And if WFAN or WFAN sponsors are reading this please get rid of this guy or else me and ALOT of other people will stop listening..
Agreed. Carton is a) not funny, b) arrested in (early) adolescence, c) is offensive, and d) is the reason I start listening to the FAN after 10a.m. Get rid of this guy already and get anyone else in his place, because Boomer ain’t bad.
HEY WFAN, NEWS FLASH: Craig Carton knows nothing about sports. Maybe if he was funny I would understand why you would keep him on the air. I would rather listen to NPR then his stupid ass.

Dude, Craig Carton is horrible, I’m so glad I’m not the only one. He is NOT funny — though he thinks he’s the next best thing since Robin Williams. I tried to get back into it, but it’s like 5% sports, and the rest just Carton going off on bad jokes. Pathetic
