I was a little too obsessed with all developments in Carlos Beltran-land yesterday — I actually had a hallucination that the Mets had signed the Sound’s Adrian Borland — to have picked up the following item, suggesting that 15 year NBA vet / Syracuse grad Derrick Coleman had played his final NBA game.
I’ll miss D.C., as much for his big mouth as for his solid inside game. From Larry Brown to Paul Silas to Chuck Daley, Derrick did his fair share to take years off the lives of his coaches, and he was pretty much a walking-talking godsend for knee-jerk journalists looking to trash the league.
Since Adrian Borland is dead, and he didn’t play in the CS Angels (that’s what Canadians call them), I’d say you had a genuine hallucination.
It’s not worth it, pal. Neither Beltran nor Coleman are worth your health.
Since Pokey Reese got signed, and Christian Laettner isn’t retiring, you should be able to relax.
sorry, that’s The Sound, not the CS Angels (of Los Angeles). But all of my hallucinations are legit.
