At the Meadowlands earlier today, Jerry Stackhouse (above) had 28 points coming off the bench in Dallas’ 94-78 win over New Jersey. Nets guard Rodney Buford shot a disrespectful 2 for 16 from the field ; it took Richard Jefferson 17 shots and more trips to the line to score 28. At 6-1, the Mavs seem to be getting by just fine without Steve Nash, but perhaps a matinee against the Nets is a poor sample from which to pass judgement.
