On Wednesday, Gawker’s Cord Jefferson reported Marc Jacobs were flogging a $68 tee that bore a close resemblance to the (bootleg) Skrewdriver shirt on the right. Though this would’ve been a perfect time for someone (ANYONE) to declare, “I only like the early Marc Jacobs $68 tees,”, alas, we’re left to wonder if yet again, the world of high fashion is polluted with neo-fuckwad sympathists, or if instead, they’re merely trying to tap into Agnostic Front‘s slow but steady crossover into the mainstream.
Then again, there’s a precedent for this sort of thing, albeit with a slightly more downmarket retailer. I remain disappointed Target never claimed they were simply trying to reach hardcore Eric Lindros fans.
