Andrea Dworkin, the anti-porn crusader and feminist author of “Woman Hating” and “Our blood: Prophecies and discourses on sexual politics”, has passed away at the age of 58.
Dworkin, pilloried by many as an enemy of free speech, was a staunch proponent of banning pornography, calling it a violation of womens’ human rights. Along with Catherine MacKinnon, she was instrumental in the passage of legislation that banned pornography in Minneapolis.
There are a few guys in Minneapolis I know who disregarded said ban, feeling it was a violation of mens’ human rights. Or so they said.
