Now that baseball season is over, the real news in sports is the return of Rowdy Roddy Piper to the WWE. How do I know it’s news? Because CSTB missed it. The Piper is back after how many years? Not one word? At any rate, Unforgiven looks like the most exciting sports event for any Cub fan this fall, and I hope he gets the Piper’s Pit back. What is it about Vince’s promotion that in 2006 it takes Flair, Hogan, and Piper to prop it up? He drew on generations of talent from the local markets to build his company, but it’s embarrassingly obvious he can’t develop a talent to equal these guys on his own. Do they make a HOT ROD! onesie for tots?
