ESPN is reporting the Denver Broncos have chopped nearly $15 million in salary for 2006 by releasing RB Mike Anderson, TE Jeb Putzier and DE Trevor Pryce.

Pryce (above) should have no shortage of suitors knocking on his door. I can speak from personal experience when I say that Trevor is one of the NFL’s Good Guys. And by that, I mean I’ve done no research to indicate he’s one of The Bad Guys. His well intentioned efforts to take indie-labels-owned-by-pro-athletes to levels far beyond that of, uh, Waymon Tisdale (Ron Artest? Jack McDowell?) might not have resulted in any platinum records (yet), but to paraphrase a Bode-ism, it’s not about the charts. It’s about being inspiring. While all of the Broncos fans I know personally are total creeps, Trevor’s an inspirational guy and I wish him nothing but the best.
