Ryan Braun is said to be mulling a full-fledged confession to his PED-related offenses, said news coming in the wake of a lawsuit from a former pal who claims the Brewers outfielder asked him to “prank call” ESPN reporters Mark Fainaru-Wada and T.J. Quinn. Amongst those who’ve lost patience with Braun is former WWE champion C.M. Punk, a long-time Cubs fan and avowed straight edge practitioner, as Yahoo Sports’ Marcus Vandenburg details :

When asked if first-time drug offenders in Major League Baseball should be banned for life, the WWE superstar delivered a damning message to the former National League MVP.

“Absolutely,” CM Punk told Yahoo! Sports. “That way I don’t have to sit and listen to any [expletive] apologies. Look at [Ryan] Braun. That dude just denied, denied, denied and then he gets caught and goes, ‘oh yeah, I’m sorry, I made a mistake.’ I don’t believe you. You’re a liar. You’ve already proved it publicly in an open public forum. You’re a liar. Just shut the [expletive] up and go wash dishes for a living. “If you do drugs, you’re a [expletive].”

“There seems to be this weird moral debate about what exactly is cheating,” CM Punk added in preparation for his match against Brock Lesnar at WWE’s SummerSlam on Sunday. “If you’re on a list from some fancy bourgeoisie pharmacy, you’re doing drugs. Regardless of what your personal stance is on that in the guidelines of Major League Baseball, there are banned substances. I don’t care if you like the rule. If you’re a baseball player, follow the rule. If you don’t like it, don’t be a baseball player.”

I’m gonna take a wild guess the percentage of Punk’s opponents & co-workers who’ve done drugs is somewhere north of 50%. And I bet John Lackey wouldn’t want to face most of them, either.
