My first reaction to news of the Sky Blues being exiled from the Ricoh Arena in favor of a frugality-enforced groundshare with Northampton Town at tiny Sixfield Stadium was “this could never happen to a major professional team in the United States.”

My second reaction, however, was considering the precedent this would set for the New York Mets’ inevitable switch to Bethpage Stadium on days the Long Island Ducks are out of town.
