File this one under “you can’t lose ’em all” for the Knickerbockers, who somehow managed to pull past the not nearly as lousy Raptors despite some early foul trouble for Jalen Rose and typically absent defending early on.
Special recognition has to go out to ESPN 1050’s Gus Johnson (above), whose call of Jamal Crawford’s game winning shot with 0:03 left was of near-Hindenburg proportions. If this was a meaningless game between two of the NBA’s worst, Johnson found plenty of drama in the proceedings. If he ever gets to call an NBA Finals Game Seven, look out.
